The city has an architectural restriction ordinance in effect. The City Council must approve all construction and architectural design changes that you make to your residence. This includes: room additions, decks, sheds, garages, fences, etc. A written request and plans must be submitted to the City Council for review. Carports are prohibited.

The city has a parking ordinance in effect, which does not allow vehicles to be parked on any street, public way, right of way, or sidewalk within the city at any time. Parking on the grass is prohibited. No trailer, tractor truck, camper, boat, or commercial vehicle shall be parked or kept on any lot at any time, unless housed in a garage.
